We've enrolled Liam in soccer at our local YMCA to help burn some excess energy supplies he's been blessed with. Don't ask me why a 3 year old needs a one hour practice and then a one hour game on the weekend but apparently they do. Who am I to complain? Anyway he had his first practice last week and was quite happy kicking the ball around. The games themselves should be interesting, I'm told it's much like watching a swarm of bees follow the ball - guaranteed to be an interesting watch. Will keep you posted.

Big changes
The loss of training wheels and the gaining of a roomate were two big changes in the Webb family that have been received well. Ashley was to riding solo as ducks are to water. A little wobbly on take off and landing but quickly mastering that. We have a 5 year old who is very pleased with herself and a 34 year old who is stuffed from running after her! The kids are very excited to be sharing a room and they love their new quilt covers (Mum and Megan can fill you in on the saga of Liams bed linen). It's something we've always wanted them to do before they got too old and it seems to have stopped the nightly meetings Liam's been having with some pesky monsters. So it's win win all round with hopefully some good life lessons thrown in aswell.
Flippin out
Liam still goes to a 3 year old gymnastics class each week called 'Flips'.He listens and does what he's told (a new concept for him) and has a great time whilst learning some fundamental movements.

Bring it on!
We have been blessed with many visitors since our landing on foreign territory. Our latest but not leastest! was my Mum, sister Megan and her beautiful baby Matthew William. Generous is my little sis' middle name. When I was sickened/saddened by the thought of not seeing my new nephew before he turned one she decided to move the mountain to Mohammed (yes! I am Mohammed but believe me, Matthew IS the mountain. God bless his little big soul). Our additional blessing was having Simon home for the month of September (no don't re-read it, I DID say the whole month) which was Dee vine. He was worried about my clucky instincts when Matt arrived but this picture gives you a more realistic view. Simon always has been king of the kids.
Liam was a new boy when it came to Nanna this time round - couldn't get enough of her.
I think our raincoats and gumboots are defective cos my kids come in drenched every time! Fun really doesn't have to cost much.
Whilst Simon still despairs over his lost Star Wars figurines he is getting to relive his dreams through Liam. Liam loves to fight with his 'life saver' ( I only recently learnt the real name for them!).
The adults eat and the kids get grotty at Grotto -local Italian restaurant.
Matthew has his first merry-go-round ride.
Ashley cashes in on her pocket money savings (with the help of a $10 coupon. Yes I must admit I have become coupon addict).
Gardens outside the Houston Museum of Natural Science where we went to the Terra Cotta Warrior exhibit (I would soo love to see the real thing) It was pretty amazing.
This is an example of the main freeway we take into the city. It wasn't until Megan and Nicole made mention of it recently that I realised how far I've come. I 'm not too rattled by all the criss crossing roads any more although I must admit I do have the help of 'Sheila' our GPS system.
