Squeals of delight

We are still lucky that the real humidity of summer has stayed at bay. However the weather is hot and the kids are loving getting wet. We bought these water squirters from the dollar shop and for the amount of fun they've had I think I would've paid a lot more.

Simon is currently in Ohio (round on the ends and hi in the middle!). He's meant to be home at the end of the month but it looks like his guys are gonna change things on us again. He will fly back for 24 hours so as not to miss Ashley's 5 yo Tea Party - there'd be 2 broken hearts if he wasn't here for that.

I just added up the other day that Simon will physically be home in our Texan house for a total of 6 weeks from Jan to the end of Sept - how disgusting is that? We both hate it but we must be thankful that it pushes us to travel and see the states. Something I never imagined I'd be doing. Simon is so over hotels and eating out for breakfast, lunch and dinner for weeks on end. When he comes home he wants nothing but home cooked meals!
